Red Oak Grove welcomes all to their family-friendly and enjoyable events, attended by wonderful Wiccans, dancing Druids, happy Heathens and other beautiful, Earth-centered, spiritual folk, in the gorgeous pine and oak forests of southern New Jersey. Brendan Byrne State Forest is our traditional ‘home’ where Red Oak Grove began all those years ago.  We’ll be at the Pakin Pond Picnic Area, under a roomy pavilion, with modern restrooms just a few yards away.

Come enjoy a full day filled with spirituality and fun!

Here’s a little of what you can look forward to:

Connect with your Spiritual Side

Druid Ritual

We’ll purify ourselves, Open the Gates between the Worlds, honor the Three Kindred and call upon the ancient Gods and Goddesses of the Druids. We will then heap upon Them our gifts and praises and let Them reciprocate by sending Their Blessings down to us. The Deity of the occasion is Rhiannon and appropriate Praise offerings to Her are anything that reminds you of nurturing and abundance – from a baby rattle to a bottle of beer!

Learn Something

Rhiannon, The Great Queen
Workshop #6 in our seasonal deity series. Join Cath and Vela for a discussion about our Great Queen Rhiannon. Bring your stories to share and questions to ask!  Following the discussion, Cath will lead us in a guided meditation to align us with the Autumnal energies of our Goddess of the Harvest."

Vela Chandra

Vela Chandra is an officer and member of Red Oak Grove, ADF.  She joined both the Grove and ADF in June 2013 and was elected Grove Scribe in August 2015.  Vela is a NJ Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and also a childbirth educator and doula.   Her two beautiful sons can often be found at Grove events with her and her husband Vicente, who is also a member of Red Oak Grove and ADF

Cath Eirian

Cath Eirian (Welsh for Bright Cat) is a Tylwyth of Red Oak Grove and has served as ROG's Scribe from August 2012-August 2015. Cath is also a proud Ovate in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. She is fueled by her love and passion for her husband, cat-sons, Druidry, cosplay, and the smell of books. Come talk to her about liminal spaces, archetypes, and general geekery!

Working with Nature Spirits, Ancestors & Deities in the Home
Want to grow your Druid path and start practicing more at home? Come learn how Maurilee does it and collect a few tips along the way! Participate together to write some daily devotional prayers and talk about what a daily devotional is and what Nature Spirits, Ancestors, and Deities mean to you. Don't forget to bring a notebook, this will be a class you'll want to take notes in!

Maurilee has been practicing Paganism since October of 2006. She is a Druid Witch who loves working her garden, being in nature, and sharing her knowledge. She has a great talent for networking as she travels the country and collects friends as she goes. She may have a young face but don't let that deter you from sharing in her quirky energy and practice. Maurilee is Reiki 1 Certified and World Service Order certified. She is also on the ADF Dedicant Path. She now also has a ULC Clergy License.
